Jean Christensen

Dr Jean Christensen is the Professional Officer for Nursing, Midwifery and Care.

Jean is an experienced health visitor and school nurse. She is an accomplished researcher, having worked for the Oxford University Department of Psychiatry researching technological solutions for the self-management of mental health disorders. She led the development of the National Service Framework for Children, Young people and Maternity Services for the Welsh Government.

Jean’s current responsibilities include a broad range of nursing and midwifery workforce issues right across the NHS and care sector, independent healthcare and the promotion of research in nursing and midwifery.
